Despite its name, salsa Lizano has neither the taste nor the consistency of a typical Latin American salsa. In terms of flavour, salsa Lizano has been compared to Worcestershire sauce and barbecue sauces. It is sweet, and due to the subtle notes of black pepper and cumin, it tastes similar to mild curry sauces.
